Vanier Farmers Market Presents Miniature Horses and a Taste of Bobby's Table

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 5, 2011) - The Quartier Vanier Farmers Market will feature Chef Bill Dicks of Bobby's Table at tomorrow's, Saturday August 6, Chef Cook-Off. Alongside will be farmer Andrew Hodges, of Knock-out Meats, supplying the succulent ribs. The market regularly features its local farmers at cook-offs throughout the season that runs until October 8. Tomorrow's recipe of Chef Bill's BBQ Ribs includes a delicious Maple Five-Spice Glaze. Chef Bill will entertain customers with a cooking demonstration at which one can taste the delicious samples and have a peak at the recipe.

In addition to the cook-off, two miniature horses, barely 3 months old, and measuring just 33 inches high from Johnny Cundell's Stables will be trotting around the market from 10 AM to 12 noon -- certainly a delight for family and friends.

The event takes place at the corner of Montreal Road and Hannah Street, in the heart of the Quartier in the Scotiabank parking lot.
