LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 26, 2011) - Vanstar Mining Resources Ltd. (the "Company")(TSX VENTURE:VSR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jean Desmarais as director of the Company. Mr. Desmarais, is currently CEO and Director of Amseco Exploration Ltd. Previously was Vice-president at Desjardins Securities and investment advisor at BMO Nesbitt Burns. After attending HEC in business management, he acted as a consultant in the financial sector. Mr. Desmarais was also on the board of Aston Hill Financial in Calgary and Bikini Village in Longueuil.
The board granted him today 250,000 stock options exercisable at a price of $0.15, valid for a period of 5 years.
Mr. Desmarais will replace Marc Brennan who submitted his resignation yesterday. We wish to extend our thanks for Mr. Brennan's contribution to the board over the last 2 years.
