Vantage Drilling Company Announces Jacking Incident for Sapphire Driller


HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - October 30, 2009) - Vantage Drilling Company ("Vantage") (NYSE Amex: VTG.U) (NYSE Amex: VTG) (NYSE Amex: VTG.WS) announced today that its ultra-premium jackup rig Sapphire Driller, during a preload test, experienced a punch through incident. The crew incurred no injuries during the incident and the Sapphire Driller is level and stabile. Initial visual inspection indicates that one of the legs has incurred minor damage to the bracings. The rig will be moved to a nearby location for repairs and further inspection.
