Vantex Resources Ltd/Galloway: 0,503 g/t Au Over 284,50 Meters

LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 20, 2009) - The management of Vantex Resources Ltd (TSX VENTURE:VTX) is pleased to report more results from the current drilling campaign on the Galloway-Pitchvein project.

Drill holes : VHD09-9, VHD09-10 and VHD09-11, with lengths between 28 and 101 meters have been plotted on a common section with historical drill holes KHD-22 and KHD87-09, whereas drill holes VHD09-06 and VHD09-07 helped map the contact between the Galloway-Pitchvein zone and the Cobalt sediment to the south.

Drill holes, VHD09-01 and VHD09-05, have been extended respectively by 39,0 meters and 56,25 meters down to the contact with the sediments (see press release dated April 22nd, 2009). These drill holes respective up-to-date results now stand at 0,503 g/t Au and 0,513 g/t Au on core length of 284,50 meters and 206,25 meters.

On a total of 292 sample sent for analysis, only 5 returned grades lower than 0,100 g/t Au, demonstrating the great homogeneity in gold content of the Galloway-Pitchvein auriferous envelope. Mr. Jeannot Theberge, project geologist and Qualified Person under NI 43-101 regularly logged the occurrence of copper ore minerals, chalcopyrite and malachite, as well as molybdenite in the 2009 drill holes.

All samples are tagged, bagged ans shipped to Laboratoire Expert Inc., Rouyn-Noranda, where 30 gram pulp samples are prepared and assayed for gold (FAA). Gravimetric assay repeats (FA) have been completed on samples with grades over 1,0 g/t Au. A strict QA/QC program including random insertion of blanks, standards, and duplicate samples has been followed throughout the sample preparation. The NQ-size core is logged, sampled and split in two at the company's core shack in Rouyn-Noranda.

Current drill holes

Drill holes, VHD09-12 and VHD09-13 located between section #1 and section #3 have intersected the mineralization over core lengths of 168 and 241 meters. The company has not received the assay results. Drill hole VHD09-14 , being drilled 100 meters north from drill hole VHD09-01 (section #1), crosscut the mineralized zone over 360 meters along the hole and terminates within the mineralized zone. We plan to extend this drill hole for a total of 450 meters.

Drilling campaign

So far, the current prospecting program allowed us to extend the Galloway mineralized horizon to the Northeast for almost 1200 meters. The same geologic units, tuffs and syenite porphyry with sericite, fuschite and tourmaline alterations are being mapped at surface over several trenches and outcrops. These units mineralization include pyrite, chalcopyrite (copper ore), malachite (copper ore) and molybdenite. The company's management is planning several drill holes in 2009 over this area. This extension remains open.

"According to W. D. Sinclair of the Geological Survey of Canada, porphyry deposits are the world's most important source of copper (Cu) and molybdenum (Mo), and are major sources of gold. They account for about 50 to 60% of world Cu production and more than 95% of world Mo production. In Canada, they account for more than 40% of Cu production, virtually all Mo production, and about 10% of Au production. Porphyry deposits typically contain hundreds of millions of tonnes of ore, although they range in size from tens of millions to billions of tonnes; grades for the different metals vary considerably but generally average less than 1%. In porphyry Cu deposits, for example, Cu grades range from 0.2% to more than 1% Cu; In porphyry Au and Cu-Au deposits, Au grades range from 0.2 to 2 g/t Au. Both the historical results and our own works tend to demonstrate the potential of a very large volume Au-Cu-Mo deposit. This year drill holes plus the currently planned holes shall contribute to define a resources in this porphyry environment." noted Mr. Guy Morissette, CEO of Vantex Resources Ltd.

Mr Jeannot Theberge, consulting geologist and Qualified Person under NI 43-101, has supervised the field work. Mr. Theberge has read and approved this press release.
