Vantex Updates on Exploration Activities

LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 30, 2005) - Vantex Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:VTX) provides an update on recent exploration activities carried on Quebec mining properties.

Lake Expanse Project

As previously announced, the Company proceeded with an initial 3,000 mt bulk sample on Zone A. These first extraction works provided a better understanding of the behaviour of the underground gold veins. The thickness of the gold zones are more important than expected and the veins are well mineralized with sulfure. In order to obtain an initial estimate of the grades of the extracted ore, Daniel Kelly, an independant consulting engineer, extracted some 40 samples spreaded along the stockpile. The samples were delivered to Laboratoire Expert Inc., of Rouyn-Noranda and the compilation of these initial results should be completed in the coming weeks.

The management will continue during the next months, the bulk sampling program on Lake Expanse's main gold zones. The ore that is currently stockpiled, should be transported to a mill as soon as availability arises.

Along with these bulk samples, the Company completed more than 30 short drill holes in different secondary zones in order to test their potential for an eventual extraction by thermal fragmentation. The drill cores from these zones were sent to Laboratoire Expert Inc., of Rouyn-Noranda. These works were conducted under the supervision of Mr. Daniel Kelly, independent consulting engineer. Results from this drilling program should be available in the coming weeks.

Vantex management also plans to start an in-depth drilling program as soon as the current financing is completed.

Heva Project

A 2000-meter drilling program is currently underway on the Heva property. The objective of these works is to confirm previous estimated resources as well as to verify the possible in-depth extensions.

Vantex Resources Ltd sold an option to Stellar Pacific Ventures Ltd (TSX VENTURE:SPX) to acquire a 50% interest in this project in exchange of $500,000 in exploration works and 500,000 common shares of Stellar.

ANA Property

Bernard Lapointe, independent consulting geologist, recently conducted an initial prospection campaign on the ANA property, located West of the Roberto zone owned by Virginia Gold mines, in the James Bay area.

A geological and geochemical survey was completed during these works. Results from the geochemical samples should be available during the coming weeks.
