Health and Technology Business Veteran Joins Board to Expand Focus on Security Needs in the Healthcare industry

A distinguished leader with 30 years of experience in information systems and healthcare operations, McCarthy's insight and expertise will help expand vArmour's focus on the security needs in the healthcare industry. McCarthy joins Gary Moore, former president and chief operating officer of Cisco Systems, as the newest members of vArmour's board.

With security becoming a key differentiator in healthcare, McCarthy will play a pivotal role in advising vArmour on the personal health data protection requirements of healthcare organizations. Prior to her current role, she served as Aetna's chief information officer and vice president of information technology. Prior to her Aetna tenure, McCarthy was senior vice president of information technology at Cigna Corporation. She also has been recognized as one of Insurance & Technology Magazine's "Elite 8" and Computerworld's Top 100 leaders.
