vCom Solutions Launches vManager Application for iPhone and iPad

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 13, 2012) -  vCom Solutions announced today that its vManager telecommunications management software tool is now available as an iPhone and iPad application. vCom works with clients looking to achieve substantial cost savings over their telecommunications spend, eliminate billing errors and consolidate the management of multiple vendors, contracts and invoices. With vCom, customers gain a simple, transparent view into all of their telecom services and activity through vCom's cloud-based application, vManager. They also receive a single bill for all services across the country.

"vCom is always looking for ways to simplify telecom management and enhance visibility and control. This includes accessing data and tools," says Sameer Hilal, vCom's Chief Operating Officer. "We built our vManager application for the cloud, to make it easy for our clients to access. vManager for the iPhone and iPad takes this freedom a major step forward, as they now can truly manage their telecom from anywhere, at any time."

The vManager mobile applications are free to vCom customers. They allow them to see and analyze their inventory, access invoices, and manage trouble tickets. The reaction has been enthusiastic. "Now I can check the status of my telecommunications environment from the mushroom greenhouses," jokes Mike Matelli, Director of Information Systems at Monterey Mushrooms and vCom client. "I love the simplicity that vCom brings to telecom management. The mobile app is just another tool that makes a formerly unmanageable expense much more controlled. I like the 'green' aspect of it as well -- instead of printing out the inventory for a facility, now we audit phone lines from the mobile app."

vCom's customers will be vying with Mike to find the most unique setting for managing their telecom -- vCom's launch efforts include a customer photo contest of the most unusual place they have used the vManager mobile app. The prize? An Apple iPad 2, of course!

Mobile applications are becoming increasingly important as business tools. In a recent Yankee Group study of IT decision-makers, the top three technology priorities for 2012 -- smart phones, mobile-enabled applications, and remote access solutions -- all focused on conducting business tasks from any location.
