Vecima Shipments Surpass 100,000 QAM Channels and 200,000 Upconverters

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 25, 2007) - Vecima Networks Inc. (TSX:VCM), leading Last Mile Solution® provider for broadband wired and wireless networks, today announces a series of unit delivery milestones for its QAM Modulator Channels and Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) Upconverter products. As at the company's June 30 fiscal year-end, Vecima has sold and delivered over 100,000 QAM Modulator Channels and over 200,000 CMTS Upconverter modules.

Vecima's modules are built upon the company's core competencies of cutting edge digital signal processing algorithms and sophisticated RF circuit libraries developed over multiple generations of technological evolution. Having provided leading QAM and upconverter modules since the pioneering days of digital video, video on demand, and data over cable, Vecima is an established supplier within the cable space. Vecima's QAM and upconverter modules are sold to market leading OEM customers in the CMTS and FTTH markets. The modules are also integrated within and complement Vecima's industry leading lineup of downstream HyperQAM and Vistalynx EdgeQAM and CableVista EdgeDecoder products.

Vecima finished its fiscal year on June 30 with 790 employees and over of 270,000 sq ft of facilities space, aided in part by its acquisitions of WaveRider Communications (Canada) Inc. and, more recently, Spectrum Signal Processing Inc. within the 2007 fiscal year. Vecima now operates facilities in Saskatoon, Victoria, Burnaby, Calgary, Toronto, San Jose, Washington, D.C., Sydney, Australia, and Mangalore, India.
