Vecima to Demonstrate DOCSIS Distributed Access Platform at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2016

(TSX: VCM), an experienced designer and manufacturer of innovative technology in the broadband equipment market, will demonstrate Entra, its new DOCSIS 3.1 Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) platform at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo to be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from September 26-29, 2016. The live demonstration of the Entra platform will highlight delivery of multi-gigabit broadband speeds using DOCSIS 3.1 for the first time.

Vecima's Entra is a next generation access solution that consists of Ethernet-centric remote access nodes and virtual controller software that supports all distributed architectures. This approach to the network enables operators to offer multi-gigabit data rates over cable to subscribers without the excessive costs of running fiber to the home.
