Vector Software Releases VectorCAST 6.3

PROVIDENCE, RI--(Marketwired - Feb 24, 2015) - Vector Software, the world's leading provider of innovative software solutions for robust embedded software quality, announced the release of VectorCAST™ 6.3 today, the most Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-machine (M2M)-ready embedded test suite. 

Building on the embedded domain expertise Vector Software has developed over the last 20 years, version 6.3 provides a new micro harness architecture designed for the special needs of IoT / M2M applications. The new architecture is critical for IoT / M2M applications because of the smaller microprocessors and limited resources that are available to these applications. Analysts are projecting IoT and M2M to grow into a $71 billion industry by 2018 (Juniper Research, Smart Home Ecosystems & the Internet of Things, 12/02/2014). Each developer can quickly and independently test their code changes by running only those tests affected by the source code changes made; this leads to improved software quality with reduced test cycle times. 

As tests are integrated together into suites, an enhanced integration with the open-source continuous integration server Jenkins, provides VectorCAST 6.3 users the ability to deploy massively parallel testing over hundreds of servers.
