"Vegetable Stalks Gain"

From Seeds to Success - Peak named in Top 100

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - Oct. 10, 2008) - The latest issue of Food in Canada Magazine named the "Top 100 Canadian Food & Beverage Processors". The magazine listed the companies by sales volume and Peak of the Market was on this prestigious list at Number 44.

"To be Number 44 of the top 100 food companies in all of Canada is a great honour for Peak of the Market", stated Larry McIntosh, President and CEO of Peak of the Market. "This helps highlight the accomplishments of our Growers and my Co-workers. Most people don't realize how big the fresh vegetable business is in Manitoba. We ship an average of over 90 tractor trailer loads full of Manitoba grown veggies each week."

Food in Canada magazine based the ranking on sales of $64,927,000 for the year ending June 2007. This was the first time in Peak of the Market's 66-year history it surpassed more than 55 million in sales. Just ten years ago, the company was slightly over 30 million in sales.
