Vemics Extends Reach Into Global Markets With Announcement of Three New International Customers

Alliance With e-Learning Desktop Opens Distribution Channels in Russia

RIVER EDGE, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 22, 2006 -- Vemics (PINKSHEETS: VMCI), a leading provider of hosted, real-time conferencing and collaboration applications, announced today three new international customers resulting from the company's strategic alliance with e-Learning Desktop, Inc. (ELD): Compressor Controls Corporation (CCC); Balt Forwarding, one of Russia's fastest growing shipping companies; and Moscow's Slavic-Anglo-American School.

"Today's announcement is evidence that Vemics' strategic partnership with e-Learning Desktop is opening numerous opportunities for our company in international markets, from Russia to the Far East," said Fred Zolla, chief executive officer of Vemics. "Vemics continues to see increasing demand for web-based learning, in both the corporate and education markets, and these new international customers reflect the global reach of this growth opportunity."

The Vemics alliance with e-Learning Desktop has opened new distribution channels for Vemics in Russia. Working together, e-Learning Desktop and Vemics are combining e-Learning Desktop's innovative approach to western education with the power of the Vemics LiveAccess™ platform, enabling live, instructor-led classes to be delivered in real-time over the public Internet as well as corporate IP networks.

CCC is using the Vemics LiveAccess platform to enable US-based instructors to deliver English language training to engineers in Russia.

"Our employees must work at job sites around the world. They travel up to 200 days per year. As such, we have become strong believers in the value of online education," said Joseph Crowley, CCC's director in Moscow. "Vemics offers the most effective real-time collaboration solution for education and training that we have seen, combining high quality audio, video and data sharing with a very easy-to-use interface. Our employees in Russia will benefit enormously from the adoption of this system."

Balt Forwarding, one of Russia's fastest growing shipping companies, is using the Vemics real-time conferencing and collaboration technology for corporate meetings between their offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Students from Moscow's Slavic-Anglo-American School, one of Russia's most prestigious foreign language schools, will participate in classes conducted by the University of Miami Online High School, a leader in providing high quality online learning experiences to high school students throughout the world. These courses will be delivered using Vemics LiveAccess, the leading real-time collaboration platform for education and training.
