Vendum Batteries Announces IP Valuation

EL SEGUNDO, CA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2010) -  Vendum Batteries (OTCBB: VNDB), a US-based battery technology development company, is pleased to announce the pre-evaluation of its Intellectual Property for its paper battery and super conductor technologies.

Mr. Fraser Cottington, CEO of Vendum, says, "We have numerous applications for our battery technology and our investment in R&D meant we had to figure out both the present value, as well as its value in the long run as our research progresses."

Using a number of tools such as DCF, rNPV, and scenario modelling, the IP value has been estimated: The pre-evaluation of the Intellectual Property of Vendum's non-toxic paper battery at this early stage is worth between $5,000,000 and $15,000,000, increasing to between $65,000,000 and $325,000,000 in 2018.

Fraser concludes, "We have always known that we had a valuable IP and had entered the clean energy market at exactly the right time, but it is clear even at this early stage that its worth is way beyond our wildest dreams. In fact, we were so baffled by the figures that we have decided to have an independent valuation made to corroborate and validate our findings, which should be ready in mid-late September."

About Vendum Batteries, Inc.
Vendum Batteries has a pending patent on a non-toxic, carbon-based light-weight battery. The paper-thin battery contains none of the toxic elements used in conventional batteries and its cutting edge carbon nanotube and cellulose-based technology makes it entirely biodegradable. The Vendum Battery will be developed from its current low power capacity, to soon accommodate the ever-increasing global demand for durable battery power for cell phones, iPods, gadgets, human implants and eventually electrical vehicles, etc. Americans purchase around 5 billion batteries, leaving 146,000 tons of battery waste behind, and given that the worldwide personal battery use is a growing $63 billion industry, the potential of this revolutionary non-toxic technology could be enormous.
