Venmark International Introduces Blog for Small Manufacturers and Distributors

WELLESLEY, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 15, 2011) - Venmark International is publishing a new blog with essays by Steven M. Stroum, the firm's founder who has publicized products for hundreds of small manufacturers and distributors since 1977. Based upon his contribution to the small business community, Mr. Stroum was appointed a Small Business Advisor to the Governor of Massachusetts and to the Norbert Weiner Forum at Tufts University to study the impact of technology on society. He was also selected by the International Rotary Foundation to tour South Korea for six weeks as an Ambassador.

The Venmark Advantage Blog includes essays covering topics of interest to small manufacturers and distributors, especially business owners who are too busy running their companies to read marketing books, websites and publications. Topics on the blog include: Business thoughts about starting and running a company, marketing articles about sales and branding, clients making news, and the value of publicity for companies today.

Venmark International has been recognized by leading editors for their high quality news releases. Stroum recalls the day, early in 1977, when the editor of ComputerWorld, Drake Lundell phoned him and asked, "Who are you, I've been receiving your news releases?" He replied, "I'm Steve Stroum, a product publicist. Lundell said, "Why haven't you called on me like every other flak? "Because I'm not like every other flak, I wanted to become recognized for the quality of my work," said Stroum, "You have," said Lundell, "Would you like to come over and meet my staff?" He did, and Lundell introduced him to his reporters at ComputerWorld as, "The president of Venmark, a high quality source of information about companies we otherwise might not know about."

In order to get the most publicity for his small business clients, Stroum had to assure that Venmark International would be a "source of information" for media outlets around the world. "I've been working with many clients for over 34 years and have witnessed those who have done things right and others who haven't. This is my chance to share some observations and experiences and give back to the small business community. If one idea helps someone succeed it will be well worth my effort," said Stroum.
