Verdasys & TITUS Announce Partnership to Deliver Integrated User Classification to the Digital Guardian™ Enterprise Information Protection Platform

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2011) - Verdasys, the leading provider of Enterprise Information Protection (EIP) solutions for the Global 2000, announced today the signing of a partnership and OEM agreement with TITUS, a leading provider of security and compliance solutions for email and documents, to deliver advanced user-based classification as a new, fully integrated module in its industry-leading Digital Guardian™ technology platform. The announcement was made at Interop NY 2011, held here, October 3-7. Verdasys is exhibiting in booth #742.

The "User Classification Module" will be delivered in late 2011 and will extend Digital Guardian's existing content and context-based classification capabilities to include multiple user-driven and auditable metadata options from TITUS, including TITUS Message Classification (TMC); TITUS Classification for Microsoft Office™ (TCO); and TITUS Classification for Desktop (TCD). With its TITUS integration, the Digital Guardian Enterprise Information Protection Platform™ offers clients unparalleled flexibility when building an actionable data classification program.

"We are very pleased to be working with our newest strategic partner, TITUS and excited to expand our industry-leading data classification model with their powerful user driven information classification and meta-data tagging capabilities," said Verdasys President and CEO, Jim Ricotta. "The TITUS partnership provides our Enterprise Information Protection (EIP) customers greater discretion over the identification and management of sensitive documents, while assuring end user accountability with real-time decision support and fully-auditable activity logs. This enables Digital Guardian clients to deploy even more cost-effective data classification programs that are flexible and scalable across the enterprise."

"We are pleased to be partnering with Verdasys, and to have the opportunity to add value through the integration of our classification products to Verdasys' Digital Guardian platform -- allowing for users to become part of the overall DLP solution," said Tim Upton, Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer of TITUS. "TITUS user-driven security and information classification is the foundation for building a comprehensive data loss prevention strategy, and the relationship with Verdasys again demonstrates the importance of involving the user."
