Verdi Corrente Productions (VCP) Attaches Michael Madsen and Vincent Gallo to Its Second Feature Film, "Loosies"; Twilight Star Peter Facinelli to Play Lead With Outside Providence Director Michael Corrente to Direct

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 17, 2010) -  Verdi Corrente Productions  (VCP) has just attached two indie legends to its second feature film. Michael Madsen (Sin City, Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, Thelma and Louise) and Vincent Gallo (Buffalo '66, Palookaville, Goodfellas) will play alongside Twilight star Peter Facinelli in VCP's "Loosies," an upbeat dramedy about the struggles of a New York City pick pocket who is confronted with the realities of growing up.

"Like our first film, 'Inkubus,' well written material has attracted another great cast," said "Loosies" director and VCP managing partner Michael Corrente (American Buffalo, Outside Providence, The Door in the Floor). "Madsen and Gallo are an incredible duo and we are excited to have them as part of the team. They elevate the project to a whole new level."

"Madsen embodies cool," says "Loosies" Producer Glenn Ciano. "He's a classic, cut from the same cloth as Robert Mitchum and Steve McQueen. Combine that with the creative force of Vincent Gallo... and look out. This film is going to be tough to ignore."

"Loosies," which shoots in July, was penned by leading man, Peter Facinelli. The film comes on the heels of Twilight's third and newest installment Eclipse (release date: June 30), in which Facinelli plays Carlisle Cullen, the patriarch of the Carlisle clan. Facinelli can also be seen weekly on Showtime's Nurse Jackie, starring alongside Edie Falco.

Chad A. Verdi, a managing partner in VCP and producer of "Loosies," stated, "It doesn't get much better than this: to have this caliber of a cast attached and such a talented director leading the way. I know great things are about to happen." Verdi went on to state, "The start date and final cast list will be announced very soon."

In addition to "Loosies," VCP is in the midst of post-production on its first feature, "Inkubus," a horror film starring Robert Englund, the original Freddy Krueger. The shoot was so successful, VCP is already in talks with Mr. Englund to franchise the Inkubus brand, hiring writer Carl Dupré and director Glenn Ciano to pen the next installment, a prequel.

"Inkubus" is currently being edited in Rhode Island, with locked picture expected soon. VCP has already begun talks with distributors with a release date TBD.
