Verengo Solar Hires Lloyd Sargeant as Vice President of Sales and Development

TORRANCE, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 2, 2012) - Verengo Solar, one of the nation's leading home solar companies, announced today that Lloyd Sargeant has joined the company as Vice President of Sales and Development. Sargeant will oversee Verengo's growing national sales organization.

Sargeant brings more than 25 years of executive-level sales and marketing experience to his role. Most recently, as the Managing Director of Countrywide's Full Spectrum Lending unit, he grew the national sales team from 100 account executives to 8,000 in a ten-year period.

"As our VP of Sales, Lloyd starts an exciting new chapter for the Verengo sales team as we continue to expand throughout California and into new markets on the East Coast," said Co-Founder and President Ken Button. "He is very entrepreneurial and a strong fit with Verengo's customer-first values."

"I am excited to join Verengo, and to help spearhead our campaign to become the most trusted solar company in America," said Sargeant. "We have an opportunity to provide clean, affordably-priced solar to hundreds of thousands of middle class homeowners who aren't aware today of how significant their savings can be."

"Lloyd joins Verengo at a time of increasing growth, as we added 400 employees in 2011 and are on track to hire another 400 this year," said CEO and Co-Founder Randy Bishop. "He is a strong believer in teaching the fundamentals of relationship selling, and an expert in training."

"My focus will be to complement and support our dynamic and creative sales force with a relentless commitment to quality," Sargeant added.
