Veritas Intelligence Expands Capabilities and Services

FAIRFAX, VA--(Marketwire - May 19, 2008) - President and CEO William Marshall today announced the expansion of the international security services and investigations firm, Veritas Intelligence. Since the launch of the company in November 2007, Marshall has substantially increased the firm's network of international contacts, established a European presence with the launch of its London office, and begun to offer an insurance fraud detection training program.

Since its inception, the firm has conducted investigations on five continents for law firms, insurance companies, and multinational corporations.

Veritas' new operational efficiencies and expanded reach have allowed it to significantly reduce costs and therefore offer considerably lower prices to its global client base.

Veritas' new insurance fraud detection training curriculum is intended to educate insurance professionals how to better identify "red flags" of potential fraud and misrepresentation during both the underwriting phase of policy issuance and during claims processing. The program, which is to be offered nationwide, addresses issues such as interviewing witnesses, obtaining official records in foreign countries, identifying discrepancies in forged documents, and discussing typical scenarios of fraudulent insurance schemes. Taught by experienced investigators, the course offers practical exercises and written materials taken from actual cases.

Veritas specializes in sophisticated corporate fraud investigations, due diligence for hedge funds, investment banks, and corporate clients, high dollar insurance claim investigations, anti-counterfeiting / intellectual property investigations, and litigation support.

Veritas' operational hubs in the Washington, D.C. region and London oversee networks of investigators in the Americas, Europe, Russia/CIS, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Marshall -- a business intelligence veteran with over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, government intelligence and private sector investigations -- notes: "Western corporations' and law firms' need for high quality, in-depth information regarding companies and individuals, particularly in overseas markets, has expanded geometrically in recent decades with the huge surge in foreign direct investment, the increasing sophistication of fraud perpetrators, and the growing threats posed by international terrorists and criminal organizations. Veritas Intelligence provides the means for its clients to develop this information in a timely and cost-effective manner."
