VeriWave Launches Channel Partner Program Helping Solutions Providers Expand Revenue Streams While Optimizing WiFi Deployments

Limited-Time Trial of Breakthrough WaveDeploy Assessment Solution Available

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - September 20, 2010) -  VeriWave, Inc. is announcing the launch of its Channel Partner Program helping WiFi solution providers generate new and expanded revenue streams while increasing the profitability and customer satisfaction of existing services. Encompassing VeriWave's recently announced WaveDeploy and WaveInsite WLAN test solutions, this new three-tiered program brings the powerful performance assessment technology trusted by leading WLAN vendors to the enterprise for the first time.

"Basic site surveys have become a commodity, especially in healthcare where everything is now mission-critical, and tweaking a network to add one particular device or application is extremely inefficient," says Dennis Holmes, Mobility Practice Manager at Carolina-based Internetwork Engineering, one of the largest WiFi solution providers to the healthcare industry nationwide. "In hospital environments, WaveDeploy lets us go in during the planning stages before applications are rolled out, put all the devices being considered on a cart and test them on the network at the same time. We can show how well each device works within the existing infrastructure, what settings are effective and when a particular setting or device might break something else. We get an overall view of the impact that adding something to the mix will have on the existing network."

WaveDeploy and WaveInsite bring VeriWave's client-generation and client-based performance measurement solutions to the enterprise for the first time, leveraging the industry's gold standard for performance testing among WiFi infrastructure and device manufacturers. These techniques give solution providers the ability to quantify end-user experience (QoE) using relevant metrics such as MOS scores for VoFi, MDI video quality scores and Web-page download speeds.

Mr. Holmes adds that Internetwork Engineering is now building managed services around WaveDeploy. "We'll use WaveDeploy upfront surveys to test new solutions and applications, and can then go back in later when customers need to do 'golden client' configurations or bakeoffs as they add new applications."

According to Eran Karoly, VP Marketing for VeriWave, the adoption of 802.11n and overall growth of business-critical WiFi applications represents both increased pressure and opportunity for solution providers. "Traditional site survey and Access Point placement solutions do little to capture the metrics IT managers need to assess and validate new WLAN deployments, and even less to facilitate ongoing performance management," Karoly says. "Now, for the first time, solution providers and enterprises have the information they need to make critical decisions and take actions that impact the true quality of end-user experience and to manage an ever-growing mix of clients. Being first to offer these new capabilities represents a major opportunity for solution providers to differentiate themselves and generate new revenue streams before, during, and after initial deployments."
