Versata Hosts User Conference and Announces Major Product Plans

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - September 11, 2009) - Versata Enterprises, Inc. (Versata) a leading provider of enterprise software solutions, along with the Versata Users Association (VUA), recently hosted the annual Versata User Conference in Austin, TX. Customers attended representing various Versata companies including Artemis, Ecora, Gensym, Nextance, and Versata.

As in past years, the importance of successful customer relationships dominated meetings and presentations. "Versata's Customer Success Program, particularly the customer-driven product road maps, differentiate us from our competitors by providing customers a forum to help the company prioritize product investment decisions," said Chris Smith, Versata's COO. Versata also announced several major product releases, including:

--  A new graphical reporting and analytics tool for Artemis Views
--  New mobile applications for several products, including both Artemis

--  Major updates to Nextance Authoring and Editing modules
--  Market-leading scalability to allow real-time analytics for Financial
    Services' Distributed Compensation solution
--  New user interfaces for Gensym developer tools to 10X productivity
    

Versata demonstrated initial capability for several of the innovations, thereby further enabling customers to influence functionality and maximize resulting business benefit.

Versata also announced a new maintenance renewal program that enables current customers to capture the benefits of new modules and innovations without having to purchase additional software. While the new product releases will be readily available for purchase by new customers, current Versata customers and active VUA members will have the opportunity to simplify the upgrade decision by simply modifying current maintenance agreement terms.
