VerticalResponse Launches Its Own Social Network: VR Lounge

Users Share Best Practices, Connect With Other VerticalResponse Users

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 1, 2007 -- VerticalResponse, the leading provider of self-service email marketing and direct mail solutions, today announced the launch of The VR Lounge, VerticalResponse's own social networking site, allowing customers to connect with each other, and with VerticalResponse partners and staff, in an open, customizable experience self-tailored to fit their needs.

Signing up for the VR Lounge is simple. Visitors choose a username fill out a profile which can be enhanced with their own media, photos, quotes and links. They can join discussion groups and create lists of favorites. Currently, discussion groups include "Email Marketing Best Practices," the "Salesforce Forum," a group of "Marketing Professionals" and a "Nonprofits Forum," among others. By asking questions in the discussion groups, users can get answers from VerticalResponse users or staff.

Profile specifications can be segmented by region, industry type, position held, and scope of interest. Recommendations for strong matches within the community are pulled by profile commonalities to encourage networking.

VerticalResponse periodically runs polls and presents the results graphically. Currently, the most appreciated feature on the Lounge is the People Map, which plots users on a map whose profiles most closely match, giving them the opportunity to easily view and contact compatible users.

VerticalResponse employees from every department are encouraged to join the VR Lounge. In addition to having access to the support team via email, phone and chat, users can now directly address questions to the designers, developers and other teammates behind the various product offerings and programs.
