VerticalResponse Named as Finalist in 3rd Annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business

Company and CEO Reach Finals in Four Categories of "The Business World's Own Oscars"; Winners to Be Announced in New York in March

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 19, 2007 -- VerticalResponse has been named a finalist for The 2006 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs. While CEO Janine Popick was recognized in the "Entrepreneur of the Year" category, the email and direct mail marketing firm she heads was also honored as a finalist in the "Best Overall Company of the Year," "Fastest-Growing Company" and "Blog of the Year" competitions.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run -- worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as "the business world's own Oscars." (New York Post, April 27, 2005).

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word "crowned," winners will be announced during a gala event in New York in March. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries are expected to attend.

The recognition caps a year in which Popick's company earned numerous honors. Highlight awards in 2006 include selection as #402 on the 2006 Inc. 500 List, ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the country; two 2006 WebAwards from the prestigious Web Marketing Association (WMA), for Email Standard of Excellence and Marketing Standard of Excellence; and the 2006 ClickZ Marketing Excellence Awards for Best E-Newsletter Product/Service and Best Business/Marketing Blog.

VerticalResponse also returned to the list of 100 fastest-growing private company in the Bay Area, as rated by the San Francisco Business Times. In addition, VerticalResponse for AppExchange is currently the most popular of more than 430 applications now available on the salesforce.com AppExchange, the world's first on-demand directory and sharing service.

"Reaching the finals for the second year is further recognition of the hard work of the entire VerticalResponse team and our dedication to the thousands of customers that rely on us for their direct marketing needs," Popick said. "To again be in contention individually, as well as for Best Overall and Fastest-Growing Company, helps keep the momentum going as we continue to innovate and expand. Accolades for our new blog is testament to the company's commitment to creating new ways to communicate with and add value for our customers."

Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging. Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs select Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during final judging.

The elegant Stevie trophy was designed by R. S. Owens, the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy.

"Being named a Finalist in The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an important achievement," said Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards. "It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of recognition. We congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition."
