VerticalResponse Wins Stevie® Award for Fastest Growing Company of the Year

Bay Area's Fastest Growing Email Marketing Service Provider Also Named as Finalist in Four Other Categories for the 4th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - November 15, 2007) - VerticalResponse, the leading provider of self-service email marketing and direct mail solutions, won a Stevie Award for "Fastest Growing Company of the Year" in the Stevies Awards for Women in Business last night. Presented by Infiniti, the 2007 Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, business owners, and the companies they run. The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Awards, hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" (New York Post, April 27, 2005).

In winning the Stevie, VerticalResponse beat out other finalists including Facelogic International, Inc., Thinkso Creative LLC, and Xsell Resources. Janine Popick was presented the Stevie by a representative of Infiniti. In her accepting the Stevie, Popick said, "The growth we've seen at VerticalResponse is due to the amazing team we've got working on every aspect of the business -- from constant product development, to new and exciting partnerships -- and always, unmatched customer support. We also couldn't have done it without the great group of customers we have -- they're great, and continue to recommend us to friends and colleagues to help us grow."

Stevie Awards were handed out in categories including Best Entrepreneur, Best Executive, Lifetime Achievement, and Women Helping Women at the gala event in Las Vegas on November 12. More than 800 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.

The Stevies is the third organization this year to recognize VerticalResponse for its rapid growth in terms of its revenue, staff and services. VerticalResponse recently ranked on the San Francisco Business Times annual listing of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the Bay Area and on Deloitte's 2007 Technology Fast 500 and Silicon Valley Technology Fast 50. More than 7,000 new customers signed on in the first three quarters of this year, bringing the total number of paying customers to 32,000. Revenue is likewise up, with nearly 36% increase over this time last year.

"We are pleased to be recognized for our growth by this prestigious organization," said VerticalResponse CEO Janine Popick. "It is particularly rewarding to be recognized by such an outstanding group of leading women in business. We attribute our growth to our pursuit of providing a superior customer-oriented service that serves those who need it most, the small businesses, while keeping a community focus in our own business practice."

In addition to winning the Stevie Award for Fastest Growing Company of the Year, VerticalResponse was named finalist in four other categories, including "Best Entrepreneur - Service Businesses - Up to 100 Employees; Best Overall Company of the Year - Service Businesses - up to 100 Employees; Blog of the Year; Community Involvement Program of the Year; Employer of the Year; Fastest-Growing Company of the Year; Most Innovative Company of the Year - Up to 100 Employees.

"Being named a Finalist in The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an important achievement," said Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards. "It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of recognition. We congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition."

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are governed by a Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors that features many leading women entrepreneurs and luminaries in business. Members of the Awards' Board selected Stevie winners from among the finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professional worldwide during the preliminary judging period.
