Vertro Board Member Dr. Adele Goldberg Inducted Into WITI Hall of Fame

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 27, 2010) -  Vertro, Inc. (NASDAQ: VTRO) today announced that Board member Dr. Adele Goldberg has been inducted into the 15th Annual WITI (Women in Technology International) Hall of Fame.

The WITI Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding contributions women make to scientific and technological communities around the world. Inclusion in the Hall of Fame is considered one of the most prestigious honors for women in science and technology.

Dr. Goldberg is a founder and Director of Neometron, Inc., a consultancy that specializes in knowledge management to support the operations of virtual organizations. Prior to forming Neometron, Dr. Goldberg was founding Chief Technology Officer for Agile Mind, Inc., an educational technology company.

Previously, Dr. Goldberg was the founding CEO and Chairman of the Board of ParcPlace Systems, Inc. ParcPlace was formed as a spin off from the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, where Dr. Goldberg was a research laboratory manager and principal scientist.

Dr. Goldberg holds a PhD and an MS in Information Sciences from the University of Chicago and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
