MEMPHIS, TN--(Marketwired - Aug 2, 2016) - Third-generation trial lawyer Thomas R. Greer, partner in the Memphis-based law firm of Bailey & Greer, is the newly elected president of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association for 2016-2017.
Greer, a Memphis native and magna cum laude graduate of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis, has been active in the Association for more than a decade. He was elected to lead the statewide organization at its annual convention.
"Thomas has dedicated his life to helping others and will do a wonderful job leading the state's top trial attorneys," said Eric Buchanan, a Chattanooga lawyer who is the Association's immediate past president.
Greer has extensive trail experience in state courts in Tennessee and Mississippi and in federal courts in Arkansas, Northern Mississippi and Western Tennessee.

In his practice, Greer has focused on making a difference in the lives of victims of serious personal injury, wrongful death, and professional negligence and has obtained numerous seven figure and six figure jury verdicts and settlements.
He has an AV Preeminent Peer Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is a member of the prestigious, invitation-only American Board of Trial Advocates.
Through the years, Greer has been active in the National Police Accountability Project; he has been named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40; and he has often been called to speak at professional development seminars for fellow attorneys.
