Mr. Alvarado is a seasoned veteran in the practice of corporate, labor and employment law. Beginning in 1987, he served for almost 20 years as General Counsel for the Western United States grocery giant Smart & Final. During his tenure at Smart & Final, he was successfully involved with several mergers and acquisitions, negotiated contracts, maintained a positive relationship with the Teamsters labor union, and oversaw several substantial overhauls of the chain's human resources policies. Before joining PRP, Mr. Alvarado served as Of Counsel with Bewley, Lassleben, and Miller LLP, one of the oldest law firms in California.
