Veteran Healthcare Technology Executive Gary Wright Joins Allocade as President and CEO

MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwire - February 8, 2011) - Allocade, Inc., the developer of the healthcare industry's only expert software system that manages patient itineraries, announced today that Gary Wright joined the company as president and chief executive officer. Wright, who brings 36 years of experience in executive management with healthcare technology start-ups in the Silicon Valley, as well as with leading Fortune 500 healthcare companies, will also serve on Allocade's board of directors.

Before joining Allocade, Wright served as president and chief executive officer for Vasanova Inc., a healthcare start-up that created the first Doppler/ECG guidance system for PICC catheter and CVC placement, which recently sold to Teleflex Incorporated. Prior to this, Wright was executive vice president of Omnicell, Inc. During his tenure as vice president of sales, the company won the Deloitte Touche Fast 50™ award for its explosive revenue growth five years in a row. Wright also served in executive roles leading healthcare companies including American Hospital Supply, Medtronic and Caremark. Wright began his career in healthcare as an ambulance technician while he was in college, followed by one year as a registered nurse in the medical intensive care unit at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center.
