Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Unveils Powerful New Mission-Focused Message

ST. LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - Mar 13, 2012) - VFW unveils a powerful new approach to messaging and branding that more clearly communicates its dedicated mission to support and serve veterans, the military and local communities. The organization's new tagline, No One Does More For Veterans, celebrates VFW as the most far-reaching, powerful veterans service organization in the country, servicing America's veterans since 1899. In the coming weeks, the new branding will be launched across all marketing channels, including VFW's website,

VFW remains true to its mission to serve and advocate on behalf of all veterans, and to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. This messaging will be reinforced by VFW's bold new look.

"VFW has been instrumental in achieving landmark initiatives that have made America a better place to live for veterans," says Jerry Newberry, VFW's Director of Communications. "This new approach to messaging and branding will bring a renewed focus and help shine a light on all the important work VFW has done and continues to do. Our hope is that this new approach to communicating our work will encourage patriotic Americans of all generations to support all of the men and women who have served our country."

With more than 24 million veterans already living in the United States, and more coming home every week, VFW's mission is more relevant than ever. As the oldest and largest service group for combat veterans in the U.S., VFW has played an instrumental role in such initiatives as establishing the Veterans Administration, creating the GI bill, and fighting for compensation for adversely affected Vietnam veterans.

VFW is proud to have helped nearly 100,000 veterans secure over a billion dollars in VA benefits. VFW also provides a wide range of post-military transitioning support and family assistance for all who have served. In addition to helping veterans, VFW provides over $3 million in college scholarships and saving bonds to students every year. As the organization strives to better the lives of veterans, the strength of this new messaging will better convey what veterans mean to VFW and the work the organization does for veterans.
