VFA Announces New Release of VFA.facility Capital Planning Software

Version 7.5 Introduces Multi-Language Support and Delivers Joint Commission Reporting for Healthcare Organizations

BOSTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 12, 2007 -- VFA, Inc., the leading provider of end-to-end solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management, today announced the release of version 7.5 of its flagship software product, VFA.facility®. Key features in this release include French and German language support, an updated AssetFusion® adapter for Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and a new module for Joint Commission reporting. Separately, VFA also announced the availability of a new Joint Commission Service, which collects information about healthcare facilities for reports required by the Joint Commission (formerly known as JCAHO), the main standards-setting and accrediting body for U.S. healthcare organizations. French and German language versions of VFA.facility 7.5 are automatically enabled based on the user's Web browser settings. The new language versions will support VFA customers in Europe as the company continues to expand its markets outside North America. In addition, the French language version will be marketed in the Canadian province of Quebec.

An optional Joint Commission software module in VFA.facility 7.5 is designed to support healthcare customers in the process of documenting and evaluating information about facility conditions and producing related reports required for Joint Commission accreditation. The module includes updated forms for Part 2 (Basic Building Information) and Part 4 (Plan for Improvement) of the Statement of Conditions, which all Joint Commission-accredited organizations are required to complete.

In conjunction with the current release of VFA.facility, VFA is also releasing updates to its AssetFusion connector product, which enables the exchange of project data with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). AssetFusion for Maximo® 6 enables data exchange with the leading asset and service management software solutions from MRO Software, an IBM company. AssetFusion for CMMS provides a toolkit that supports integration of VFA.facility with other CMMS products as well.
