VHA Health Foundation Adds Taylor and Whitaker to Board of Directors

IRVING, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 27, 2005 -- The VHA Health Foundation has appointed James H. Taylor, president of the University of Louisville (Ky.) Hospital, and David D. Whitaker, president and chief executive officer of Norman (Okla.) Regional Hospital, to its board of directors. Taylor and Whitaker join the 14 other members of The VHA Health Foundation Board.

The VHA Health Foundation (http://www.vhahf.org/vhahf/aboutus.asp), located in Irving, Texas, is a public foundation created by VHA Inc. to encourage leadership and innovation in addressing health and health care issues. Efforts benefit VHA member health care organizations, as well as non-members. The VHA Health Foundation funds programs that focus on new approaches to health and health care that make a difference, generates synergies to develop resources to add value and enhance outcomes, and diffuses knowledge and best practices.
