VHA Inc. Announces New Board Chair and Two New Board Members

IRVING, TX--(Marketwire - May 17, 2011) - VHA Inc., the national health care network, has announced a new Board chair and has elected two new members to its board of directors.

The new Board chair is Patrick Fry, president and CEO, Sutter Health, Sacramento, California. "Our new Board chair Pat Fry is an aggressive, passionate and creative health care leader. I'm confident that Pat will provide outstanding leadership as VHA pursues its goal of radically changing the economics of health care delivery in this country," said Curt Nonomaque, President and CEO of VHA.

The new Board members were elected during VHA's Annual Meeting of Shareholders, held this year in San Diego in connection with the VHA Leadership Conference. The new members are:

  • Dave Blom, president and chief executive officer of OhioHealth, Columbus, Ohio
  • Kelby Krabbenhoft, president and chief executive officer of Sanford Health, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

"Dave Blom and Kelby Krabbenhoft bring many years of innovative leadership and health care delivery expertise to our Board. We know they'll be essential contributors to our work to deliver transformational value to our members," said Nonomaque.

In addition, Arthur A. Ushijima, president and CEO, Queen's Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, has concluded his Board service. "Art has been a tremendous contributor to the success of VHA, and we thank him for his six years of dedication and service on the Board," Nonomaque said.
