VHA Inc. Names Brenner President of VHA Texas

IRVING, TX--(Marketwire - October 13, 2008) - VHA Inc., the national health care alliance, announced today Geoff Brenner is the new president of VHA Texas, one of VHA's 16 regional offices. Brenner was formerly senior vice president of business development for VHA Texas, which serves more than 70 VHA member hospitals across the state.

He replaces Phil Trimarco, who will remain at VHA Texas as an executive advisor to help with the transition until his official retirement at the end of March 2009. Prior to joining VHA in 1986, Trimarco served as chief operating officer of a 15-hospital division of American Medical International, now known as Tenet Healthcare Corp. From 1983 to 1984, he was the region's director for alternative services and new business development.

Brenner joined VHA 10 years ago as director of member strategies. In September 2003, he accepted the position of senior director in business development for VHA Texas and grew into several other executive roles over the past five years. Prior to coming to VHA, Brenner was regional vice president at MD Buyline.

Brenner earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. He earned his MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He resides in Frisco with his wife and two children.
