VHA's mission is to help members improve their clinical and economic performance. As part of its work in the supply chain arena, VHA owns and operates Novation, a contracting services company that negotiates contracts for thousands of medical products, drugs, capital equipment and devices. Serving hospitals and non-acute providers, VHA focuses on the complete range of member purchasing needs. VHA members save money on medical products by purchasing them through Novation, and they save money on services by using VHA agreements for the most commonly used health care services, such as equipment maintenance, human resources functions and telecommunications. VHA has service agreements with more than 70 companies, and its members spend more than $2 billion annually through these agreements.

"It's important to recognize suppliers that provide exceptional service to VHA members," says Scott Downing, group senior vice president for VHA's supply chain services. "The organizations recognized this year follow a long list of award winners that provide the greatest support and commitment to helping VHA members achieve their supply chain goals."
