Viadeo Turns to Algolia to Revolutionize Member Searching

Viadeo, France's Leading Professional Social Network (PSN), Has Teamed up With Leading "Search-as-a-Service" Solution Provider Algolia to Launch a New "Real-Time" Search Facility That Offers a Revamped User Experience and Increased Precision

Now, in order to help members find the right person more quickly, Viadeo has taken steps to upgrade this feature by teaming up with French startup Algolia.

Faster, more powerful searching

Algolia offers a "software-as-a-service" search engine, allowing website and app developers to provide users with a real-time, "as-you-type" search experience. Using the service, visitors can gain access to the content they are looking for with just a few keystrokes, providing a considerable boost to overall user experience.

For Viadeo, the decision to go with Algolia was an easy one. As Benjamin Magnan, Viadeo's Product Manager explained: "We wanted to make an immediate difference by providing users with instantaneous, highly-relevant searching. Algolia's solution responded perfectly to our needs, offering all the key features of a modern search facility while allowing us to adapt their service to our particular industry."

Now, all 65 million members of the PSN can carry out their searches in record time.
