Viands Concerted Petitions for Women's Business Enterprise Certification

Viands Concerted Files Formal Application to the WBENC to Achieve Official Certification Status

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwire - December 7, 2007) - Viands Concerted, Inc. today announced that it has filed a formal application with the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) to be recognized as a Women's Business Enterprise. The change in corporate status occurred when long-time employee and former senior vice president and corporate controller, Stephany J. Wilkes, became Viands' majority shareholder as a result of options and employment agreements. Wilkes recently took over the position of company president from founder David B. Linton, who remains with the company as chief executive officer. Viands expects the WBE certification process to be complete sometime during the first quarter of 2008.

Viands also announced the addition of Chef Doug Miller, CEC, as corporate executive chef. Miller graduated from the renowned Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park and will lead culinary development of new products for Viands.

"We are always focused on maintaining high-quality products and services, and working to improve our organization with the goal of increasing operational efficiencies," said Wilkes. "We are pleased that David is still with the company as his talent and experience are valuable assets. We also welcome Doug and look forward to his ongoing contributions towards the success of Viands. Together, we will continue to enhance our total quality and customer service programs and maintain our strong GMP/SOPs. While our status as a WBE may open up a variety of opportunities for our company, our customers will not recognize any major differences as we will continue to deliver the level of quality and service that they have come to expect from Viands."
