Vicki Erickson Elected to North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

MAPLE GROVE, MN--(Marketwire - Aug 23, 2012) - Vicki Erickson has been elected to the board of directors of the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce. Erickson has been involved with the chamber since 2008, including serving on the Business Education Partnership committee which matches advocates from business and education to collaborate on activities and partnerships to prepare students for the ever-changing world of work.

Erickson is the Assistant Vice President of Marketing with TopLine Federal Credit Union, and as part of her involvement with the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce that supports building strong local communities, she volunteers at area schools, community colleges and organizations to teach both youth and adults the importance of personal money management skills. Some of her other community involvement through the chamber includes: participating as an e-mentor, which offers area high school students the chance to develop a relationship with a business community professional to help increase academic motivation, improve reading and writing skills, provide pathways to career awareness and promote volunteer activity, hosting a teacher externship job shadow event to help prepare area educators for the future by exploring the world of business and careers in financial services, as well as actively participating in mock interviews and assisting with annual scholarship judging.
