Victory Poker Pro Paul Wasicka Leads Harrah's Tunica Championship Final Table

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - February 10, 2010) - Day 2 of Harrah's Tunica $5,000 no-limit hold'em championship event has drawn to a close, and Team Victory Pro Paul Wasicka has cinched the chip lead with only nine players remaining. The 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up and 2007 NBC National Heads-Up champion will head into the final table with nearly a quarter of the total chips in play.

Ninety-six players opened on Day 1, creating a nearly half-million dollar prize pool. Thirty-five players started on Tuesday's Day 2, with Wasicka near the top of the leader board. At the end of the day, the tournament had reached the final table, with nine players vying for the $139,422 first place prize money and championship ring. Since 2004, Wasicka has reached eight final tables, and boasts more than $7.6 million in earnings.

Not coincidentally, Wasicka recently completed a series of individual coaching sessions with fellow Team Victory member Sam "The Mind Guru" Chauhan. Chauhan is credited with teaching poker players how to read subconscious responses, breaking through barriers that prevent potential pros from achieving their full potential at the tables.

"Part of being the best in poker is getting rid of your limiting beliefs," stated Chauhan. "Those are the beliefs that stop one from going forward. Some of the top athletes in the world have mindset coaches. It only makes sense that poker players wanting to take their game to the next level commit to learning various forms of neuro-linguistic programming through hypnosis and physiological reading."

Other professional poker players recently completing Chauhan's poker mindset series include Josh Arieh, placing second in December's Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic World Poker Tour event at the Bellagio, and Gavin Smith, grinding through 267 players and a 19-hour final day to become this year's Fallsview Classic Poker Invitational champion.
