Victory Welcomes New Board Member

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 9, 2007 -- Victory Energy Corporation (OTCBB: VYEY) today announced that Richard May, one of the founders of SCS Corporation and now founder of RJI Incorporated, has been appointed to Victory's Board of Directors.

Mr. May has a wealth of knowledge and experience in international markets and a solid background in finance. As one of the founders of the SCS Corporation, a major technology supplier to global markets, Mr. May assisted in establishing the company as a recognized leader in its respective niche in the technology industry. Following retirement from SCS, Mr. May became a principal in Service Industries Systems, where he developed strategic relationships with French and German companies for the technological line of products currently offered by the organization. In addition, Mr. May was appointed to the Board of Directors of HoloTag, a company located in Cambridge, England. In 2001 Mr. May founded RJI Incorporated to capitalize on his contacts within the security contracts industry.
