Top Executives From CBS, BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, HLN and Others to Also Speak at the World's Largest Online Video Conference

ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwired - May 19, 2015) - VidCon (http://vidcon.com), the world's largest and most influential online video conference for creatives and industry professionals, today announced that YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki will return for the second year as the official industry keynote speaker at VidCon, taking place July 23rd through July 25th at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. A host of additional speakers including Jim Lanzone of CBS Interactive, Ze Frank of BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, Albie Hecht of HLN, Mark Terbeek of Greycroft Partners, and David Beebe of Marriott International, among others will also be making speaking appearances throughout the conference.

"I was a big advocate of Google's acquisition of YouTube back in 2006 when the platform was just a year old," said Susan Wojcicki, CEO of YouTube. "Now that we're celebrating YouTube's tenth birthday, VidCon is the perfect place to reflect with the community on how far we've come, and focus on the future of online video and all the big opportunities that lie ahead."

The annual three-day conference will connect more than 300 of the most innovative and influential YouTube creators with more than 20,000 attendees for performances, workshops, discussions and networking.

Three tracks: Industry, Creator & Community

For the first time, VidCon is offering three separate programming experiences, for three distinct segments of the online video community. This year's Industry Track -- which will take place on the third floor of the Anaheim Convention Center -- will welcome more than 2,000 professionals from over 600 companies, joining hundreds of online video creators, to share insight and expertise in how to build the sustainable communities, channels and franchises that will define the future of the online video ecosystem.

The brand-new, three-day Creator Track -- taking place on the second floor of the convention center, and targeting up-and-coming creators seeking guidance on how to be successful in online video -- will provide insightful panels, talks, workshops, and keynotes focusing on the nuts and bolts of writing, editing, shooting, lighting, marketing, and monetizing content, as well as developing a community of engaged fans.

This year's Community Track, for over 17,000 fans of all ages, spans five stages inside and outside of the first level of the Anaheim Convention Center, as well as over 500,000 square feet dedicated to pre-registered meet-and-greets with stars, interactive exhibits and experiences, and both day and evening performances.

VidCon 2015 will also feature over 540 speakers across its Industry, Creator and Community Tracks, including creators such as VidCon co-founders Hank Green and John Green, Connor Franta, Joey Graceffa, Hannah Hart, Grace Helbig, and Tyler Oakley, along with key executives from the online video industry.

"It's very important to the VidCon team that we pull key insights and expertise from online video's biggest players, which is why we're honored to have such an esteemed group of innovators and decision-makers join us for VidCon 2015," said Hank Green, Co-Founder of VidCon and host of the popular YouTube shows SciShow, VlogBrothers and Crash Course. "This year's group of outstanding speakers have been selected to enlighten and inform us of what to expect as an industry, and we're thrilled to have assembled the very best and brightest in video. We're also very appreciative of the support from our sponsors and are excited to announce their partnerships with VidCon in the very near future."

"The video industry is moving at a rapid pace, so we wanted to make sure that the panel discussions address the speed and direction in which things are moving," said Jim Louderback, Editorial Director of the Industry Track at VidCon. "We're covering every spectrum and perspective of video to leave no question unanswered as we aim to empower the next generation of video creators, producers, developers, distributors and innovators."
