Video Clarity Announces ClearView Version 4.0

Metrics Captured, Tabulated and Preserved for Repeatable Video Testing

CAMPBELL, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 19, 2007 -- Video Clarity, Inc. has responded to industry concerns over the lack of quality video test equipment (both Objective and Subjective analysis). The ClearView Video Analysis system is a reliable, format-agnostic, frame accurate video analysis system, which includes capture, analysis, viewing, and playback of multiple video sequences. This software upgrade works on our entire product line -- including the ClearView Shuttle, ClearView Classic, and ClearView Extreme.

Over recent decades, the role of video images has grown steadily. Advances in technologies underlying the capture, transfer, storage, and display of images have created situations where communicating using images has become economically feasible. More importantly, video images are in many situations an extremely efficient way of communicating as witnessed by the proverb "a picture is worth a 1000 words."

Release 4.0 enhances ClearView to include additional Objective Metrics, the ability to auto-align sequences, enhanced display, graphing and logging functions, enhanced DVI performance up to 1080/60P from disk, and a pixel reading tool to an already robust list of features. ClearView applies various objective metrics to the video sequences, generates graphs, and calculates an objective score. ClearView includes PSNR, Spatial Information and Temporal Information (as proposed in ITU-T P.910).

As Groucho Marx once said, "Who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes?" Video Clarity took this to heart. By combining a video server and capture device to the analysis system, ClearView objectively detects differences in signal quality; while presenting multiple videos in 6 different subjective viewing modes.

The ClearView product family is modular in features, and is available direct from VideoClarity or one of our partners. For more information, please visit our website at http://www.videoclarity.com/ManufacturerSolutions.html.
