Private Event to Feature Speakers From FreeWheel, NBCUniversal, Mediavest Spark, comScore, and VideoAmp; Panel Will Explore Media Monetization for OTT, VOD, Unification of TV and Digital Data, and Future of Planning and Buying Across Screens

SANTA MONICA, CA--(Marketwired - June 16, 2016) - VideoAmp, a cross-screen optimization platform for the TV and video ecosystem, has partnered with the Global Audience Based Buying Conference (GABBCON), the industry group dedicated to the creation of technical standards for audience based buying, education & consulting and networking for buyers, sellers and technology companies who rely on audience based buying, to co-host a special invite-only panel discussion during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on Monday, June 20th. The panel discussion will be followed by an exclusive VIP-only event aboard the Superfun Yacht at the Le Vieux Port de Cannes.

The panel discussion, Blurring the Lines of Digital and TV, will cover topics including the automation of planning and buying and media monetization across screens, the unification of TV and digital data, and unlocking premium inventory on OTT and VOD, among related subjects. The panel will take place on board the GABBCON Yacht, Superfun, at the Le Vieux Port de Cannes, and will feature several industry thought leaders and influencers, including:

  • Oleg Korenfeld, EVP Adtech & Platforms at Mediavest Spark
  • Denise Colella, Senior Vice President of Advanced Advertising Products and Strategy at NBCUniversal
  • Neil Smith, VP of FourFronts Marketplace at FreeWheel
  • Chris Wilson, EVP of National Television at comScore, Inc.
  • Jay Prasad, Chief Business Officer at VideoAmp (moderator)

According to a recent eMarketer report, while TV was a $75 billion market this year, digital is expected to equal that figure next year. Additionally, Strategy Analytics projects that OTT video revenue will surpass $30 billion by 2020, up from $19.45 billion in 2016, with steady double digital growth. This increase is mainly driven by SVOD and advertising.

"We are excited to start Cannes Lions with a meaningful discussion on the future of the TV and video ecosystem," said Ross McCray, CEO, VideoAmp. "We have a solid lineup of leaders within our industry and are thankful for their participation, as we discuss in depth how video consumption continues to change dramatically, from different devices and apps, and what all this means for advertisers and content owners."

"Cannes Lions is about innovation and creativity, topics near and dear to GABBCON. We are excited to kickoff the week with VideoAmp and a talented panel of thought leaders addressing a topic that is top of mind for most marketers (the automation of TV and cross-screen media monetization)," said Gabe Greenberg, CEO, GABBCON.
