Videotron at the ARCADIA Festival: Visitors to Videotron Exhibit Will Experience the Fun of Gaming

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 23, 2006) - Videotron is proud to be the official presenter of the 2nd edition of the ARCADIA Festival, Canada's first video gaming festival, to be held at the Uniprix Stadium on November 10, 11 and 12, 2006. Since its inception, the ARCADIA Festival has been recognized as one of Canada's premier gaming events, drawing hi-tech buffs of all ages from the four corners of the gaming universe to Montreal.

Videotron is committed to publicizing the potential of electronic games and promoting the exciting gaming experience, which is attracting growing numbers of young and not-so-young fans. Videotron's 1,500 square-foot display at the ARCADIA Festival will give visitors a hands-on taste of the fun of gaming. It is divided into three zones where festivalgoers will be able to try out three different Videotron gaming platforms: wireless Zone, high-speed Internet Zone and illico digital games Zone.

Wireless Zone

Visitors to the Wireless Zone will be able to play a variety of games and take part in the Wireless Contest, waging battle for prizes such as Videotron wireless phones and downloadable games. Exclusive content for mobiles including videos, ringtones, wallpaper and more will also be on display on a dozen wireless phones.

High-Speed Zone

The Videotron High-Speed Zone will feature more than 20 monitors on which visitors will be able to play exciting games supported by Videotron's fast, stable, high-performance network, including Okiddoo educational games developed by Canoe. The High-Speed Zone will also offer a wealth of information from sites such as,,, and of course on two screens. As well, computer terminals will be available to visitors for emailing.

Illico Digital Games Zone

The illico Digital Games Zone will be a more laid-back space. Two screens, two Videotron Personal Video Recorders and two stuffed armchairs will invite visitors into the relaxing and enjoyable world of gaming and television entertainment, courtesy of Videotron's high-tech expertise.
