Vidsense Rigs New Digs
What's Old Is New Again for Major Video Ad Network
TINLEY PARK, IL--(Marketwire - November 11, 2008) - Vidsense, the Web's largest video ad
network, today announced plans to move operations into a brand new office
space. The sprawling new headquarters will be located in Tinley Park,
Illinois, just 30 miles south of Chicago.
Says Director of Communications, Mary Kolacki: "Our entire management
team has been together for over ten years, and we started in Tinley Park.
It's a bit ironic that we describe Vidsense as a retro-evolutionary step
back to the future. We are literally moving forward by moving back to
where we all started together."
Vidsense is a spin-off of NextEra Media and was incorporated in January of
2008. In addition to Vidsense, the new offices will house staffing and
technical support for several other NextEra subsidiaries.
Vidsense continues to grow despite a challenging advertising environment,
and, according to CEO Jaffer Ali: "The investment in the new location is
necessary to accommodate that growth." He further comments: "We are
extremely happy with our progress. By emphasizing quality, value and
engagement, we've attracted a very loyal and growing client base. We owe
every bit of our success to clients like Conde Nast, Just For Men, Johnson
& Johnson, Zyrtec and Napster -- brands that were open to new and better
ways to engage consumers online through the proven power of video."
The Vidsense model effectively reverses the traditional audience-delivery
sequence through a very simple process that places thumbnail links to
popular TV and movie clips across a broad spectrum of more than 20,000
safe-for-work websites comprising the Vidsense video network. When a
viewer clicks on one of the thumbnails, a new browser window opens,
transporting the viewer directly to a sponsoring advertiser's website where
an embedded Vidsense video player launches the chosen clip. The clip is
then viewed within the exclusive confines of that advertiser's branded
surroundings. Once the new browser window is closed, the viewer is
returned to the host site.
"This is an on-demand medium," explains Ali, "and the very best way to
target your audience in an on-demand medium is to let them target you
instead." And target they do, with thumbnail click-through rates that are
7 to 10 times higher than industry averages for text and banner ads.
What's more, 92% of respondents to a recent survey said they enjoyed the
video clips, resulting in greatly extended time spent on the host
advertiser's website.
"To sum it up," concludes Ali, "Vidsense not only brings customers to your
door, it delivers them 'safe and secure' right inside your online showroom.
The move to our new showroom marks an exciting new chapter for NextEra
Media and Vidsense."
