VidSys Rolls Into ISC West With 3D Surveillance Interface, Plays Leading Role in PSIM Roundtable

New Market Report Names VidSys a Leader in PSIM Market

VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - March 28, 2008) - VidSys, the leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software for Situation Management, today announced that it will unveil a three-dimensional imaging interface for the company's latest version of its industry leading PSIM software, designed with partner Balfour Technologies. The solution plots alarms onto 3D imaging views of cities or buildings offering users the ability to "fly in" to the precise location of the incident and automatically bring up the area video feeds and other relevant information to quickly resolve the situation. The solution can be viewed in VidSys's booth (number 34033) at ISC West in Las Vegas.

VidSys chief technology officer James Chong will also lead a panel discussion around the critical elements of a complete PSIM solution, titled "Video Surveillance Leaders Discuss Convergence and Proactive Situation Management" to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 3rd. Participants in the panel include Robert Wu, Senior Director of Market Strategy for Barco; Peter Jankowski, CTO, Digital Video Surveillance for Cisco Systems; Bruce Bauer, Chief Systems Engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation and Alan Lipton, CTO of ObjectVideo.

"ISC West is one of the leading educational venues for the industry, and our prominent role in this year's program is a clear indication of the importance of PSIM and our continued thought leadership in this area," explained VidSys SVP David Fowler. "We are excited to have our PSIM leadership position recognized by leading industry analysts like Frost and Sullivan and Gavin Long and we welcome the opportunity to share our experience and that of our partners with the larger security community."

ISC West also marks the release of a new report on the emerging PSIM market authored by Fairfax Research vice president, Gavin Long. The report spells out the challenges and current state of the PSIM market and describes the important aspects of a PSIM solution. In it, VidSys is called out as a leading provider of the situation management and PSIM platform software products that tie security and surveillance information together to present the most important data for professionals tasked with responding in real time to threatening situations.

"Technology advances and the needs for more security and safety have spurred the growth of physical security devices but have also created a collection of incompatible systems that can't won't interoperate and bury operations center personnel in irrelevant information," said Gavin Long. "The physical security industry is ripe for integration and interoperability and I believe PSIM software solutions like VidSys's will lead that effort."
