Vidyo™ Chosen as "Next Generation" Video Conferencing Solution by Leading Conference Service Provider

Videocall First Authorized Vidyo CSP in UK

HACKENSACK, NJ--(Marketwire - June 18, 2008) - Vidyo, Inc., the first company to deliver personal telepresence, today announced that Videocall, a leading provider of video-enabled collaboration solutions, is the first company in the UK to be authorized as a Vidyo CSP (Conferencing Service Provider). Videocall has selected Vidyo's new high definition VidyoConferencing™ technology to use with its video conferencing managed services and will offer its customers a new subscription based service, MyPresence, with the Vidyo solution at its core. In addition, Videocall plans to sell Vidyo products to its global customer base.

"The Vidyo solution is a technology breakthrough that delivers the next generation of videoconferencing, and does so over converged and public IP networks," said Rob Portwood, Videocall's Chief Executive Officer. "No other technology in the market today can enable our clients to engage in high quality video conferences from wherever they are."

Vidyo's solution enables CSPs to leverage compelling cost, quality and deployment advantages over those using traditional MCU-based video conferencing technologies. It also allows CSPs to reach a far larger customer base since Vidyo products don't require dedicated networks, and scale from a telepresence room to HD desktop video conferencing. Vidyo's portal-based solution provides sophisticated APIs that easily integrate with existing back office systems. Since the Vidyo model is based on annual license fees, it fits perfectly with a CSP's existing pricing structure.

"With the ability to combine Vidyo's desktop product into Videocall's professional service wrapper and offer it on an annual license basis, we have a compelling solution to offer our customers," said Portwood. "Videocall is keen to be at the forefront of this step change in technology and have the opportunity to capitalize on the solid and sustained growth in its key markets, and use this new service to drive further growth."

"CSPs delivering Vidyo-based services will rapidly be able to penetrate markets due to much lower operating costs and much higher video quality, and do this over the Internet," said Ofer Shapiro, CEO of Vidyo. "By using the Vidyo solution, CSPs, for the first time, will be able to deliver personal telepresence and utilize the same infrastructure for both their desktop and room video conferencing services. We are excited to have Videocall as the first authorized Vidyo CSP in the UK."

Earlier this year, Vidyo launched the VidyoConferencing product family -- the world's first scalable coding enabled video conferencing system. Vidyo is the first company to license technology and deliver products built upon an entirely new video conferencing architecture that utilizes the recently approved H.264/SVC video compression standard. It delivers unparalleled video quality over unreliable networks including the Internet.
