View Addresses the Colorado Marijuana (Hemp) Market

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwired - Apr 21, 2015) - View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VSYM), a Baltimore-based manufacturer of integrated, non-invasive, weapons detection systems, today addresses the Colorado Marijuana Market.

Colorado 2014 sales of marijuana hit $700 Million. As of December 2014, the state had issued 833 recreational licenses, 322 of which were for marijuana stores otherwise referred to as "retail," "adult-use" or "21-plus." The state also issued 1,416 medical licenses, 505 of which were for medical marijuana dispensaries.

Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) said in February that he expected combined sales from legal medical and recreational marijuana in the state to reach nearly $1 Billion, and forecast the state would collect about $134 Million in taxes and fees next fiscal year.

Last year we studied the Colorado hemp market. View has shipped systems for trial installations and expects to install its modified Viewscan in several dispensaries.

View has hired a newly retired Agency Officer to spearhead its entry into the security and protection market in Colorado. Special Agent Marcus C. Motte is a retired Federal agent with over 29 years in law enforcement. The majority of those years were as a Criminal Investigator and a Special Response Team (SRT) Tactical Unit Leader and he is highly qualified in all aspects of personnel and property safety. As a Criminal Justice specialist, Special Agent Motte will direct our efforts utilizing View Systems' products to facilitate the safety of individuals and property in the Western Region, specifically Colorado.

Special Agent Motte quotes, "The marijuana industry has been growing by leaps and bounds and the need for security in a field that produces such high revenue is a must. By incorporating View Systems' cutting edge technology, this will provide an additional layer of vigilance, safety and security to the end user, which are light years ahead of conventional security measures used in the retail industry, such as security doors, panic alarms, security guards, etc. Placing the ViewScan in tandem with the industry's standards will help establish the location where it is incorporated as a hardened target and divert the potential for security breaches."
