View Systems Announces Additional Five-Unit VFR Sale to the United States Army

BALTIMORE, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 23, 2007 -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VYST), a cutting edge homeland defense solutions provider, announced today the United States Army has purchased five Visual First Responders for approximately $150,000 plus. Battelle Energy Alliance placed the order on behalf of the U.S. Army.

Battelle provides solutions and helps develop innovative products for commercial customers by leveraging technology into competitive advantage. Battelle also teams with more than 800 federal, state, and local government agencies, providing cost-effective science and technology in the areas of national security, homeland defense, energy and environment, health and life sciences, and transportation and space (http://www.Battelle.com).

These Visual First Responders included the on-board video encryption technology and extended range antennas. The encryption feature allows first responders to transmit their on-scene video to the command post without the data being intercepted by unwanted parties.

"The recent continuing sales to several divisions of the United States Military are an indication that the VFR is becoming the preferred video technology," stated Dave Johansen, Homeland Defense Products Manager for View. "Our efforts and growing support from our distributors is leading to consistent orders and now the sales are becoming more significant."

The Visual First Responder (VFR) is a powerful wireless camera system that is able to transmit high quality video in the most difficult environments. The U.S. Army, U.S. National Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, State Emergency Responders and Fire & Rescue Departments currently use the VFR. The camera's patented triple-diversity antenna system dramatically reduces transmission loss that affects other systems. The VFR was selected by R&D Magazine to win the coveted R&D 100 Award which has been called "The Oscars of Invention" by the Chicago Tribune. This award deems VFR one of the 100 Most Technologically Significant New Products of the Year.

About View Systems Inc.

View Systems specializes in concealed weapons detection systems, emergency response camera systems, and nuclear sensing technology. The SecureScan Concealed Weapons Detection System is the only PC-based unit on the market today that can visually locate threat objects on the body of a person passing through the portal while ignoring harmless, non-threat objects. The handheld wireless VFR Visual First Responder camera increases safety and reduces response time by allowing incident commanders to view in real-time what the entry team sees. View's Nuclear Sensors can be integrated with both aforementioned products, or can be used independently to detect shielded nuclear or radiological materials including "dirty bombs."
