View Systems Announces Purchase Orders From Maryland Correctional Institutions

BALTIMORE, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 11, 2006 -- View Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: VYST), a leading edge homeland defense solutions provider, announced today that orders for seven SecureScan units to date have been received from correctional institutions in Maryland. Purchase orders have been received from The Maryland House of Corrections Annex, Eastern Correctional Institution, The Maryland House of Corrections in Jessup, The Maryland Correctional Adjustment Center, The Metropolitan Transition Center, and the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women.

Funded by the Department of Justice, the SecureScan II's non-contact imaging capabilities reduce the need for wanding and pat-down searches. While ignoring common items like coins, watches, and jewelry, the SecureScan II is sensitive enough to locate and pinpoint hidden razor blades and cell phones on its video image, which are crucial in correctional facility searches.

View Systems executive, Charles Nelson, states, "I expect we will install SecureScan systems in the first of ten correctional facilities before the end of June. This is the first wave of orders from the Maryland Department of Corrections. We installed the first trial unit in November of 2005."

View Systems CEO, Gunther Than, states, "The legacy and integration ability of the SecureScan is the significant value added. The ability to systems-integrate a concealed weapons detection device into current and future access control networks is giving momentum to our current and future orders. There are 35 correctional facilities in Maryland."
