View Systems Technology Achieves DHS Designation as Qualifying Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT) Under the SAFETY Act

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2013) - View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VSYM), a weapons detection and access control provider, announced today that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a Designation of the Company's ViewScan VS-1000 as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology under the regulations of the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act). This Designation is a result of a detailed technical and financial review of the ViewScan VS-1000 technology and of View Systems, Inc. itself and provides the Company certain liability and risk management protections.

"Obtaining the DHS Designation of our front-line secure access control product as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology is an extremely important milestone for the company," commented Gunther Than, View Systems' CEO. "The SAFETY Act application process is very rigorous, and provides us an excellent third-party review of the system and its capability to reduce security risk."
