-- New Viewpoint/CanWest Project Marks First Relationship for Viewpoint
With Canada's Largest Media Company

-- CanWest's "Canspell" Mini-Site On canada.com Includes Interactive
Content, Video and Dynamic Contest Updates for National Spelling Bee
Competition Running Through April

Viewpoint (Nasdaq:VWPT), a leading provider of innovative visual
technologies for the Web and the desktop, today announced the successful
design, implementation and launch of its first project for CanWest
Global Communications Corporation (NYSE: CWG), Canada's leading
international media company. The project is a rich media mini-site
featuring video and audio that provides users with dynamic updates of
CanWest's CanSpell National Spelling Bee Competition.

Working with the creative team at CanWest MediaWorks, Viewpoint Creative
Services designed and implemented an engaging multimedia experience for
followers of the CanSpell competition that includes highlight videos,
competition photo galleries, an interactive spelling bee game,
word-of-the-day calendar and "trading cards" of regional and national
finalists.

"We're excited by this first project with CanWest as the company begins
employing cutting edge rich media and video technologies to further
improve the user experience," said Thomas Morgan, Viewpoint Creative
Services senior vice president. "With millions of loyal users visiting
canada.com every day, we're pleased to be playing such a prominent role
in this important program promoting literacy and in keeping informed the
many devoted followers of the largest spelling bee competition in
Canada. We hope this first project for our new friends at CanWest
MediaWorks is only the beginning of a relationship to help CanWest
provide exciting, interactive and innovative visual experiences for
their users across all their online properties."

The CanWest project is Viewpoint's second foray into creating immersive
visual experiences for younger audiences online. The first project was
Viewpoint's work creating a custom interface for America Online's
KOL™service for kids.

"It was Viewpoint's long history and success with AOL that piqued our
interest in what Viewpoint could do for us," said Arturo Duran CanWest
MediaWorks' senior vice president, CanWest Interactive. "Being Canada's
largest media company, with extensive publishing, television,
interactive and entertainment holdings, we will continue to explore ways
to use video, rich media and next-generation content creation and
advertising services to improve our users' experiences online. And we
believe we've found a strong partner in Viewpoint."

CanWest's CanSpell Spelling Bee Competition runs through April 16th,
2005. To follow contest highlights and finalists and take the online
